Membership is the lifeblood of the Marine Corps Association. Regardless of status—active duty, Reserve, retired or veteran—we encourage all who are eligible to become MCA members. Each member receives a subscription to the Marine Corps Gazette and/or Leatherneck. These two top-notch magazines are the ideal way for Marines to stay abreast of the most current issues facing today’s Corps. Marine Corps Gazette is the professional journal for all Marines, regardless of their occupational community. Leatherneck is the premier historical journal of the Unites States Marine Corps, telling the story of the Corps—past, present and future.
MCA members receive invitations to special events and awards ceremonies held nationwide. Guest speakers from the active duty and civilian community discuss topics of importance for all those who have proudly served this great nation. One of the primary goals of the Marine Corps Association is to provide professional education for Marines. MCA special events are the perfect avenue for Marines to enhance their knowledge of military art and science. This benefits not only those on active duty, but retirees, and others who have served. MCA events are the ideal way to stay informed about issues facing today’s Marine and to build camaraderie with others who have shared the rich traditions of the Corps.

A membership in the Marine Corps Association means so much more than valuable discounts. By joining the MCA you become part of the mission that was first embarked upon by John A. Lejeune back in 1913. Lejeune and the other founders of the MCA invested personal funds to develop an organization that would enhance the U.S. Marine Corps and those who have served in the Corps. Their vision was to task the MCA with disseminating “…knowledge of the military art and science among its members, and to provide for their professional advancement; to foster the spirit and preserve the traditions of the United States Marine Corps.” That vision continues to drive the Association into the 21st century. And you can be part of that vision when you join the only professional organization for U.S. Marines.
