BGen James B Laster, USMC, Semi-Annual National Marine Corps Council Meeting at MCA

Laster, Commanding General, Training Command, and a member of the Marine Corps Association's Board of Governors, appeared at MCA headquarters to brief the roughly 25 National Marine Corps Council (NMCC), members in attendance at the council's semi-annual meeting on October 21.  

Gen Laster spoke about his speeches around the country and how he is able to easily focus on the magnificent performance of Marines in combat over the last 5 years.  "It's all about people," said the General.  He provided several cases of the great work our Marines are doing and how they are bringing their lessons learned back to Quantico into the schoolhouses.  He went on about the challenges the Corps is facing but also, the incredible enhancements in the training establishment that is providing the best training our Marines have ever had prior to going into combat.  

The NMCC is a national level association of organizations with Marine Corps affiliation formed for the purpose of dissiminating information  in furtherance of Marine Corps objectives.

The MCA was privileged to host the NMCC and appreciates Brigadier General Laster for taking the time to update the Council on the great efforts underway  in the Training Command.
