The PFC Herbert A. Littleton Awards

Established by the Commandant of the Marine Corps in December 2004, these awards recognize superior performance from enlisted Marine communicators. All three awards are named in honor of Congressional Medal of Honor recipient and Marine communicator, PFC Herbert A. Littleton. This year’s awards recognize performance during calendar year 2006. The first two awards, the Herbert A. Littleton Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and Staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) Awards for Operational Communications Excellence, recognize an NCO and SNCO who best exemplify enlisted communications excellence while serving in a communications billet. The third award, the Herbert A. Littleton NCO Award for Electronics Maintenance Excellence, recognizes an NCO who best exemplifies excellence in maintaining equipment that enables the Marine Corps to achieve information dominance. The Marine Corps Association sponsors the Award through a grant from the EDO Corporation.
